American Idol is sucks. Listen to this.
My brother and his fiancee have some freinds in Germany. Keith is 21 and Jenny is in her 20's not sure what age. Anyways keith is in the army and is based in munich. Jenny has recently become pregnant and there married so everythings great right?
No. Jenny has a condition in which if she is cut she bleeds insanely. The doctors told her not to become pregnant any time soon because it would be hazardous. Well she did. Being southern christian that she is, abortion is out of the question.
Well german doctors discovered jennys baby has down syndrome and has to be flown back to the united states to be born because she needs special doctors.
Heres my point.
Keith requested leave from the army to go have HIS CHILD!!!!! They said no. They asked if the army could fly jenny over to the U.S. No.
Luckily jennys father has some bank and can afford it and she is there now. Keith cannot leave germany till summer time way after the baby is born. So he will not be there for his sick wife, sick child, OR THE FACT HIS OWN CHILD WILL BE BORN WHILE HE FUELS F-18'S FOR PILOTS IN A NUETRAL COUNTRY!!!!
Now, explain to me how JOSH GRACIEN, AMERICAN IDOL contestant is allowed to fly back no questions asked for a t.v. show pre-pubecent teens watch? IF THATS NOT THE MOST SCREWED UP THING YOU'VE EVER HEARD NOTHING EVER WILL BE.
American Idol is a disgrace. Disgrace to music, musicians, peoples rights, talent, ones own ambition, and now the US Military. How can 3 people who have had the least amount popularity in their lifetime judge individuals? Simon was a rep who was fired. We all know Paula Abdul's story and Tito Jackson had a longer stint than she did, she just has looks to help her out. Randy Jackson, bassist for Mariah Carey. Mariah Carey, enough said. The singer thing is out. The "pop" thing is definately out.
Why is this disgusting thing still allowed to go on. It does no one any good whatsoever including the singers. The only winner to have a successful career sort of was Kelly Clarkson, who was on the tale end of the spears-aguilera regime'. Ruben Studdard? Sorry for 2004? Terrible. "Clay Aiken"? more popular than ruben and was runner up and now is invincible, errr, invisible. The only really good winner was Carrie Underwood, last year's winner.
Whats also messed up is how they boot off people who have had problems in the past. Well someone needs to fill IT in to the producers "THE PAST IS REAL"! Those performers who we're booted are the real lifestyle of the music world. You have no $$$$. You have to work yourself tothe bone and pay dues to get noticed. Its not as easy as American Idol.
All in all American Idol in my opinion is hurting us more than helping. It has lauched the careers for people who made their money and disappeared making everyone who supported them by giving them that money and them not ever having the common courtesy to give a reach around.
Take the wool out your eyes, you might be surprised, by what you see and what you realize, the answer is there, just buried in pollution, dig a lil' bit deeper become a part of the solution- Chris Poland
